Message from Senior Patrol Leader

Greetings,

I am honored to introduce myself as Carleb, your newly elected Senior Patrol Leader (SPL). First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to all the past Scout and Adult Leaders for bringing me to where I am currently. For over a century, the BSA has empowered young individuals to make ethical and moral choices by instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. As your SPL, my goal is to provide you with the freedom to pursue your interests within scouting, be it campouts, service projects, rank advancements, or any other aspect that excites you.

Over the next six months, I look forward to having a fantastic time with each one of you. It is my utmost priority to create a safe and inclusive environment where all scouts feel welcome. Furthermore, I aim to expand your horizons within the world of scouting, encouraging you to explore new opportunities and embrace new experiences.

In my role as SPL, I am committed to challenging you in four key areas: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. During our campouts and activities, I will strive to incorporate at least two or more of these areas into our programs. Through these challenges, we will equip ourselves with knowledge, skills, and a mindset that will enable us to build a better future for ourselves and the world around us.

As we embark on this exciting journey together, let us remember to work hard and play hard. Let us cultivate a spirit of determination, resilience, and joy that will fuel our progress. Together, we will create memories that will last a lifetime and leave a lasting legacy as scouts who not only strive for excellence but also embrace the beauty and joy that scouting brings to our lives.
