Message from Senior Patrol Leader

Hello! 

I am Moses, the Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) of 2023. When I got elected as SPL, I found it to be satisfying and scary at the same time. I felt that way because I now have a big responsibility to take care of other scouts. To prepare this, I went to a National Youth Leadership Training camp with a few other scout  leaders. There we learned different types of leadership skills. During the course, we also had to come up with a mission that we could lead ourselves.

My Mission: 

A Promise

I endeavor to bond with scouts and teach them about the world of Scouting through fun activities.

SPL (Senior Patrol Leader) oath:

I promise to do my best  

to be worthy of the office of Senior Patrol Leader 

for the sake of my fellow Scouts and my Troop 

and in the World Brotherhood of Scouting.

I promise to try my hardest to help and lead anyone in their scouting journey.

A Model

I will do my best as a model scout who lives by the scout oath and the scout law that are the core of scouting. Through the activities, I also wish to inspire scouts to set long-term goals in their BSA journey.

My Goals:

Leadership and Scout Motto

I hope to lead scouts using different leadership methods and various scouting skills, such as team spirit, leadership training, character development, and personal fitness. I hope to "Be Prepared" while also helping others prepare too.

Goal Setting for individuals

I want to encourage all scouts to learn the basics of scouting, to achieve the First class rank, and aim to reach the Eagle rank in their BSA journey.

Goal Setting for Troop

I am aiming to lead our troop and  to achieve the Journey to Excellence (Gold) Award 2023. This significant award recognizes determination and perseverance in scouting, demonstrated consistently at campouts, troop meetings, and different service projects. I look forward to seeing you there at Troop 412 Hong Kong!
